Heee! Obvious? Not quite. But then, being old enough to understand creaky knees, achy back, etc., I'm utterly charmed by the older pair. In fact, one of the things that makes them my OTP is the way they aged together through the series and movies. It was a delight to see, and just added credibility to their chemistry. I love your concept for the story, too :-)

I totally love your older Kirk and Spock. They are so sweet together and just seem comfortable like a favorite pair of shoes. But I like old things. I'm not happy driving a car/bus/bike that isn't at least a decade old. :D (yeah, that's right, I drove a Flxible, baby, and I'd do it again!!!!)

This story is fantastic!!! I love it when you post your fat-Kirk fic - they are all awesome! Plus I love that you described Kirk as being in good shape despite being fat - you definitely don't have to be thin to be healthy and active, as the Shat proves!

I really enjoyed the blend of humor and philosophy in this one, and I thought you nailed Jim and Spock's reactions to the Ch'hortlugan's customs; we all know Spock is the more open-minded of the pair:) i think my favorite part of this fic was your paragraph describing Jim's admiration for Spock...so sweet, considering how long they had been together. I'm loving this series and looking forward to more.
