Single minded dedication ages past evoked. Gene once said that Trek was a reworking of traditional stories., you capture that well in this piece almost Jungian. The quality of the work is something we should aspire to. DeservEs more reviews. A fic master pass is long overdue

This only awakened the desire for more. What holocaust, how did he lose Jim and what is their universe like? As this was written long ago (LOL) I suppose I never will have the answers to my queries. So my imagination must take flight without the muse that fueled these powerful and beautiful images.

That story was new to me and it's so interesting to look at this in hindsight and make parallels with the rebirth of Spock in movie 3. Mysterious ritual in the Vulcan desert, a character taking big risks to big his friend back to life, Jim speaking Spock's name the same way Spock did Kirk's... Very interesting story. I never truly thought about it, but there's always a darkness in your fics... no light and fluffy from you :). Spock has that mythical aura for me too, all handsome and brilliant and secret and and forbidding, so having him as a wizard worked really well - especially when it's for the good cause :-D. Plus, anything that shows the great lenghts one of them would go for the other is welcomed with open arms. Nice ritual mixing Vulcan and Human elements (like the pentacle).
The one thing I great is the lack of background. You hint at that "Holocauste" but don't give any details, except that apparently everyone Spock knew died. What happened? Was the Federation conqueered? Was there a civil war? How did Spock survive? And where did he found this magic? I'm endlessly curious so all these quesions drive me crazy. I always want to know more :-D But I understand why you wrote it the wya you did. In any case, nice story. ;)
