As a scientist I bypassed a good literary education. Would love a recommendation of a book that explains what iambic pentameter is or how to write sonnet form

I'm damn impressed you managed an entire poem without the use of an E.
I know how hard it is because my mother's a poet and attempted it a few years ago when our old computer's keyboard broke.
