I am very sorry to see you leave, Sarek. I enjoyed your approach to these characters, which is more anchored in what canon gave us (imperfect, not-a-saint Kirk, and not-a-mindless-beast Spock, but) two people who while they may deeply care for each other, they may still deeply hurt one another. Many writers don't seem willing to delve into these qualities with the characters, and that is a shame. You did go into that psychology and I applaud that. Too many stories are the same formula, with the same stereotypical versions of Kirk and Spock. Ones like your stories refused to fall into that pattern, and some people decide that because someone dares to do things differently (which is actually more accurately than many stories now), that said people appoint themselves as the fic-police and dictate what story/stories others should tell. This hateful attitude of a few people has driven away many talented people from this fandom recently. Star Trek as a fandom has before embodied the ideas of acceptance and welcome - and there are many people here who still hold true to that. But I have noticed with increasing alarm and admittedly disgust that more and more "fans" entering this fandom are hateful, cruel, and unwelcoming people that not only clearly missed the central message of the very source material of their fandom, but actively go out of their way to drive people out of it, thus making it a smaller fandom one contributor at a time, and thus effectively trying to kill the enthusiasm with their hate and cruelty. You are not the first person this has happened to, sadly. But I am sorry you were also targeted by this like several other writers and artists recently. I will miss your work and your presented here. If you ever want to talk about anything: writing, Trek, characters, or whatever if you may need an ear, please feel free to reach out to me. I, and those who are also saddened by your fee!ing the decision to leave as a necessary one, will never respond in hatred or malice. And if you choose not to reach out to anyone, I sincerely hope that you find peace and joy with everything you do. Thank you for being brave to share your work with us when you did, and also for supporting mine. Your reviews always made me smile. Thank you. Dif-tor heh smusma, Sarek. ~RK

There are always trolls wherever you post and whatever way you write. There is room for all approaches and every head cannon. There is no room for dictating an approach. If it is not your cup of tea you can choose not to read.
My view when considering serious fic format is that cannon suggests a friendship with flaws and arguments and indeed with separation. It is not a fairy tale world of happily ever after. Capturing masculine aspects not easily achieved by female authors. I am sad to see a lack of acceptance has moved you from this archive but hope your continue to post in a more welcoming location.

It saddens me that you will no longer be writing your stories. I loved them and will greatly miss them. It also saddens me that people on this site have driven you away. II enjoyed your Spock and Kitk because they seemed real due to their imperfections. I wish you the best And will miss your work. Thank you!!!
