these have all been SO awesome. i love that you're writing them out of order, i love your spock voice, and i really love the picture you're painting of their life together. it's beautifully done, and i can't wait to keep reading! <3
Author's Response:
thank you so much. XD i will try my best to get more out soon!

Oh, this was excellent and a wonderfully enjoyable read! I'm not usually much for first person narrative, but I'm so glad I decided to read this story anyway - you did it so deftly that I found myself falling completely into Spock's narrative. Beautifully written and so touching. Bravo!
Author's Response:
Why thank you! I agree, I am generally not a first person kinda gal, but this bug just came up and bit me for some reason. But it's good to know that people think it's working! XD
Thanks again, and be sure to watch for more updates -- as I get spit out of the bowels of university midterms more chapters should start appearing! Haha!

This is very interesting, I'd like to see where it's going! More please!
Author's Response:
Thank you! I have a few more ready to be posted, I just haven't done it yet -- life has been crazy lately, haha. I will try to get some more up very soon. As for where it's going, this story (obviously) doesn't have a defined plot. It's more like snapshots of time in K and S's relationship. Eventually, there will be an event/theme that ties it all together, but nothing terribly shattering. So, I'm not entirely sure where it's going but I hope you'll continue to enjoy it!
Also, may I politely ask why only 3.5 stars? I am very interesting in getting concrit for this, so if you have any and are willing to share, I would love to hear it! Good criticism is so hard to come by when it comes to fan fiction. If you're interested in throwing some crits or ideas my way you can email me at oritpetra@hotmail.com or just leave another review here. I would really appreciate the feedback!

I like your style, and it's totally readable. The flashbacks create a very realistic feeling to the story. I also like that Jim is mature enough to see that his mother did what she could, but that it can't erase the hurt from his memories. It's how people work.
I'm looking forward to the next part!
Author's Response:
You left this review a while ago, but I forgot to thank you for it. So: "THANK YOU!" I am so glad that you enjoyed!

Author's Response:
Indeed! XD

Guh, this one is the best so far, in my (albeit smutty) opinion.
They all play together so wonderfully, though :)
Author's Response:
Thanks so much!
I'm glad you enjoyed!

ò.ò well, it is very well written and in character to be sure, But I don't understand very well @.@ how does this connect with the previous one?
Author's Response:
hi tatya, thanks for the compliments. ^^ i think i explained this in my author's note at the beginning, but i don't think i was very clear. i'm really sorry about that.
these vignettes are designed to provide glimpses, from spock's POV, into spock and kirk's aquaintence, friendship, and ultimately their relationship. they don't come in a linear order (i.e. one might be from when they first met, the next might be from when they are old and retired, or something similar), and the events in them are generally not connected (though eventually, the story will move circularly back to the setting of the first vignette). as well, they are meant to have the feel of memories, and thus, they are not linear by nature.
i hope that clears up the confusion. ^^ if you have any more questions or comments please don't hesitate to drop me a line. thanks again for your kind and generous feedback!

Wowzers! I really like these snippets into Spocks mind! Please continue to write them. They give an excellent feeling of him delving into his memories of life with Jim and I like how he notes what his emotions are and how he feels about the situations he is in. Very well written, I hope to see more!
Author's Response:
thank you so very much! i am so happy that you are enjoying these, and that you feel that i am capturing spock's character well. he is a tricky one to write, so it's good to know that it's turning out somewhat sucessful.
and you will be seeing for, for sure. next vignette should be up tomorrow afternoon. ^^

i like the structure of your writing :) always like spock pov, good so far cant wait for next :D
Author's Response:

hm i like how Spock says Jealousy is irrational and yet he was not happy with kirk staring at the girl. please write more :).
Author's Response:
yeah, Spock's character is so complex. i mean, he is dealing with being half-Vulcan half-human, and, through joining Starfleet, being caught between to very different worlds. really, i think his emotions run deeper than any other character's -- they are just harder to tap into. ^^
thanks a bunch for taking the time to read and review. the next installment will be up sometime tomorrow. XD

This is the storyline I've been waiting for - thank you so much. Please write more!
Author's Response:
*grin* thank you so much for leaving me such a kind comment. i do hope that it will live up to your expectations. it's not a storyline per se -- more of a sucession of memories designed to eventually create a whole, an image of these two characters and their unique relationship.

Very very poignant... precise and very Spock-like. It explain a lot of him... I do hope you will keep writing this ^_^
Author's Response:
thank you kindly. :)
yes, i will be continuing this. next update will be sometime tomorrow. ^^

Hehe, I always like Spock's continual questioning of idioms.
Details of Spock's voice comes through despite the challenge of writing him. Good Spock pov is the best! look forward to more :)
Author's Response:
good to know that you think i'm capturing his voice well.
let me know how you find this in other chapters! I always worry about whether or not i've truly got his character down.
<3 thanks for reading and reviewing!

this is interestig... I hope to read more of it :)
Author's Response:
thank yah!
vignette # 2 goes up today!

I love the idea of many vignettes. The title suggests a lot of stories where Spock re-evaluates whether Jim the Stallion in question should be broken. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Author's Response:
thanks for reading aand reviewing!
yes, there will be a few like that. in general, they'll all be very scattered 'glimpses' of a relationship that work toward a more holistic conclusion near the end.
mostly, just spock's POV refusing to get out of my head. that and the challenge of writing such a character.

Sounds promising. Is there more?
Author's Response:
absolutely. next vignette will be up tomorrow, and there approximate planned number is somewhere around 50 (with about 10 of them prepared and awaiting posting).
thanks much for the review and for reading! peace!
