Finding T'hy'la by CMM Rated: Mature Content (Teen) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 675]
Summary:

Done, done, done!

This is a personal request from a fan, Katrinna Le Fay (yes, I do requests; sometimes it takes awhile, though).

Jim and Spock meet as children. Jim's mother is absent; his caretakers are abusive. Sarek and Amanda rescue their son's friend and raise the boys together. They discover they are t'hy'la and are bonded. Spock goes to Earth to join Starfleet; Jim goes with him.

This will be sort-of Abrams, with a dash of AU mixed in. for example, I'm not killing off Amanda. Enjoy.

Summary:

In the wake of the loss of Vulcan, Spock begins to heal - although the salt is not purely from the ocean.

Next in the Keeping Love series, and sequel to 'Silence' and 'Quiet Places.' If you have not been reading the series, this won't make sense.

Intimate Knowledge by TDazz Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 104]
Summary:

A continuation of the story begun with Comfort Food, though this one stands alone.

McCoy notices some abnormalities in Spock's vital signs and requests that the ship's course be diverted to the new Vulcan colony so that he can consult with a Vulcan physician, so the Enterprise goes to New Vulcan, which turns out to be nothing at all like the Vulcan Spock remembers.

K/S in later chapters. McCoy/OC; Sarek/OC.

Warning: dub con and implied non con

4/4/12: I didn't add anything to the story. I picked the wrong one when updating a different one. Sorry I made it appear in the 'recent' list again. Nothing new here.

This is brilliant.  I love how you've made everyone, but especially the Vulcans, into such multi-dimensional characters.  Normally Sarek and any Vulcan aside from Spock seem to get a default characterization as a stone wall/computer that spouts logic, and in your fic everyone is an actual person with motives and desires and struggles.  It's amazing.

Author's Response: Thank you! That is something I always strive to do-- to treat every character as an actual person, however briefly they may appear. I'm glad you're liking it.

The Lotus Eaters by aldora89 Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 27]
Summary: Stranded on the planet Sigma Nox while searching for a missing away team, Spock and Kirk find themselves pitted against a disturbing native life form. With the captain out of commission on a regular basis and Spock struggling to preserve his stoicism, staying alive is difficult enough – but when a slim chance for escape surfaces, their resolve is truly put to the test. Together they must fight for survival in the heart of an alien jungle, and in the process, uncover the mystery of the planet’s past. Slow build K/S.

This fic was incredibly imaginative, especially the depictions of the alien planet.  The K/S was also very well-paced and believable.  Excellent storytelling, I really enjoyed every bit of it.

Author's Response:

Awww, thank you!  I really appreciate it.  "Believable" was definitely one of the biggest concerns on my mind writing this, to the point where I added entire chapters and expanded existing ones to stupid lengths (much of that a bit last-minute, too)! :D

Cat and Dog Life by lazulisong Rated: All Audiences starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 5]
Summary:

Chris gets Spock because Phil says it's get a pet or he calls Una, and Chris swore up and down to her that he would be fine, he was almost done with PT, it was her last tour, and he was doing great with the cane. He hadn't expected how quiet it would be, is all.

This was great.  The majority of Starfleet not being completely enamoured with Kirk for once was a much needed fresh point of view.  Also, (and I've noticed this for your other fics as well) you are a master of "show, don't tell" which is awesome.  The dialogue and the action move the story along nicely, and I enjoyed Kirk and Spock being awkward at each other.  Scotty's failure at public speaking was a nice touch as well.

Author's Response:

Scotty struck me as the too-fast techspeak, freezes-in-place kind when it comes to public speaking.  Thanks very, very much!
