After spending quite some time in Spock's company, Jim Kirk is determined to disprove some myths about the superiority of Vulcans.  He later discovers that sometimes trying to prove a myth wrong is not as fun when confronted with the evidence to do so. 

Follows the story "Intake Monitors." 

Spock has been haunted by dreams he's been having: Dreams of another life. When he's with Uhura, he can't help but think of the dreams, and he's beginning to think that being with her isn't what he is destined to do, and that his true destiny lies with Jim. He's confused; the James T. Kirk he knows is so different from the one he sees in his dreams.

Relationships begin to develop among the crew of the Enterprise after the arrival of two additions to the medical staff, while everyone works together to try to solve the mystery of the strange noise heard all throughout the piping on the ship.

Follows "Acts of Mercy."  Third in the Metamorphosis to T'hy'la series. 

Kirk invites McCoy and Spock to a birthday party while they are still planetside.  As the night progresses, recollections surface, realizations are had, and everyone - except the underaged Chekov - enjoys a few drinks.

A crewmember's surprise birthday party brings about bad memories for some of its attendees.  These are their stories on how and when they lost their love of ice cream, and how one ended up loving it!

The Terran Empire responds to a planetary distress signal from Vulcan.  Their goal is not to aid, but to enslave the survivors.  Captain Pike’s capture leaves his young first officer, James T. Kirk, in command of the ISS Enterprise.  As the surviving Vulcans are subdued, one of them catches Kirk’s interest.  In that moment, everything changed.
