Told from the point of view of three different characters, we see how exactly Spock and Jim are able to start and maintain a relationship, despite all of the strange occurances on the Enterprise. AU as in, Khan only helped and didn't attempt to kill...everyone. So, all of the events up until he tried to destroy the Enterprise happened...but after that...

Khan, attempting to remain reformed(and ridiculously good looking), recalls the events that lead to him becoming a family man and the couple on board the Enterprise that helped him realize what was most important in life. He reflects on it all while talking to his daughter and while a majority of it is done in humor, there is some drama and death involved.
