I think this chapter worked pretty well.  It's bridging the gap between them being not on tour and on tour, and in any case it was fun to read.  Your writing is so fresh and easy to read that I really don't mind if you lose your thread a bit, don't worry!

Also, we know if it was me writing this story that we would be on chapter 25 by now and Spock wouldn't even be in the band yet...  You're doing fine!

Author's Response: Well thank you for that. And that's funny that you say that about Spock because I'd actually finished the chapter and realized that my second main character was missing and had to write him in. This whole thing started with me imagining them on tour and I was so busy getting them there that I almost left Spock behind, I think 90% of this chapter was added in after the fact and the fact that you nevertheless enjoyed it makes me very happy

Wow.  Oh wow.  I find it pretty hard to believe that you've not touched drugs because you write about them so powerfully and matter-of-factly.  I don't mean that in a nasty way, though - I'll trust your honour!  But it's not just the physical sensations, it's the emotions and the guilt... the psychological effects.  Have you seen 'Christiane F - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo'?  This chapter reminded me of that.  And that's saying something!  Well done from me, a big well done!

Author's Response: Haha, thank you. The most of anything I've ever had was two shared wine coolers that my cousin stole from her mom when we were like twelve and I didn't even get tipsy. Most of the psychological stuff comes from, funnily enough, music. Placebo's entire body of work was a big inspiration, as was a lot of anti-drug punk rock. Minor Threat's "Straight Edge" talks about not needing a crutch, and I just sort of reversed that. I've never seen that, but you're about the fifth person to recommend it, i'll have to check it out. Thank you so much for your continued support, it really means a lot.

Powerful stuff...  Jim's gonna be in trouble if he's not careful!  Poor thing :(

Author's Response: Thank you, that means a lot. And yup, it's only going to get worse.

Ah that was nice - they all got along!  But I get the feeling thing that things aren't going to continue being that easy...

Author's Response: Nope ^_^ the road's gonna get bumpy here in a chapter or two.

I'm glad Spock said yes, now all we have to worry about is Nyota's hormones.

Author's Response: Don't forget about Jim's hormones! Haha I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

Brilliant introduction to Spock, all we need is for him to play and sing a haunting melody.  I'll leave you to figure that out.  Wouldn't it be great if Spock was unsure about joining and had to be persuaded.

Author's Response: Haha, good guess, he is kind of unsure and the next chapter will hint at it, but because it's 3rd person limited, you don't get to see that for a while. Thanks for reviewing, it really means a lot ^_^

Hmm... interesting idea for a story!  I shall look forward to more.
