Oh, hello angst!  I love me a typical pon farr fic where it's all amazing sex+ bonding, but I've got to say I equally enjoy the nitty gritty flat out miserable fucking ones too.  The ones where it is just brutal and probably more realistic (for fiction of course) when a human male mates with a male three times his strength who is kind of out of his mind.  I mean what would you expect?  Sunshine and roses?  Nope.  More like anal rupture and broken bones I'd imagine.  This was brutal in its imagery, so amazing.  Great read. :)

Powerful story, with such raw emotional truth. Very effective, the way you showed this thoroughly alien version of Spock, caught up in the violent lust of pon farr, who nevertheless turns out to be much more vulnerable than Kirk.

Author's Response:

Indeed. Spock is definitely vulnerable... and alien. I'm glad my intent to show that came through.

Thanks for your response!

This was awesome. Love the realism you described in Pon Farr. It is a violent time, so it was refreshing to see it depicted like that. Well done!

Author's Response:

Thanks! I have noticed that people like to use pon farr as little more than an excuse to make Spock horny enough to go after Kirk (much like sex pollen), which, though some of those fics are well written and hot as any of the deserts of Vulcan, it doesn't strike me as very realistic to write pon farr in such a way.

Thanks again for reading!

Good imagery and intensity.  I was a little disappointed in the ending but otherwise I enjoyed it.  Thanks.

Author's Response:

Yea, I've been told that I tend to lean toward writing abrupt endings. Something I've got to work on... Thanks for reading though!
