What to say? I've been reading K/S for about 15 years -- their love was obvious to me even at the tender age of 14. I have a weakness for Captain Kirk's green wrap tunic, which is so sexy that it should be illegal (and thankfully, isn't). I will be eternally grateful to William Shatner for being secure enough in his masculinity to flaunt that tunic onscreen.

I've just made my first foray in to fanfic in over 8 years - and my first foray into writing K/S, period. I hope that you enjoy my humble efforts. :)

Challenges by SoldierGirl
Summary: ST:ID challenge. What was Spock projecting at Khan in the brief mindmeld during their fight?
Categories: None Characters: None
Summary: ST:ID challenge. What happens in the time between Spock punching out Khan and Jim waking up in the hospital? Please include Spock alone in Kirk's quarters holding the tunic Jim changed out of before the space jump (which, of course, smells like him), Spock seeing him after he's frozen in the cryo tube, Spock being present during the transfusion, and - finally - a kiss between dear Jim and Spock - that moment when Spock called him "Jim" and they stared into each other's eyes just begs for a kiss, Bones in the room or no Bones.
Categories: None Characters: None
Summary: Based on "The Apple". Kirk and Spock are observed in a tender moment by a pair of Vaal's keepers.
Categories: None Characters: None
Summary: STID. While in the hospital, Kirk has that promised chat with Spock about his bedside manner. A bit of fluffy sweetness wouldn't be amiss here. :)

Summary:

This challenge is based on the same premise as the novel "One Day" by David Nicholls. Pick one day out of the year, and show the events going on in Kirk's and Spock's lives on that day each year. Please cover at leat the five years of the first mission. If you can add in the day after Spock's disastrous pon farr for the second year of the mission, that would be amazing. :)

Summary:

Kirk and Spock (and other members of the crew, in random combinations) have a conversation over grilled cheese at midnight.

Prompted by my own midnight snack and a FB chat in which I decided there should be a book called "Grilled Cheese at Midnight" and my friend Amber stated it should be about different people having conversations while snacking on midnight grilled cheeses.

Summary:

For humans, red is the color of passion/love. For Vulcans, that color is green. Kirk and Spock find the perfect combination in the holiday colors of Christmas - and their Christmas celebration is more in the Japanese fashion. (Christmas in Japan is like Valentine's Day in the U.S.)

Summary:

This is a bit outside my usual challenges, but... Femslash and slash.

I was thinking it would be neat if, in Abramsverse, T'Pring and Uhura met while Uhura was on a language immersion trip for 6 weeks to Vulcan (before Nero, of course) to help her master the Vulcan language. T'Pring offers to help her with her language practice, which involves spending a good deal of time together. T'Pring and Uhura fall in love, but they can't stay together because Uhura has to go back to Starfleet Academy to finish classes there before she gets her commission, and T'Pring has been betrothed to Spock lo these many years, so she isn't really free to make that choice.

Shortly thereafter, Spock meets Kirk, and finds he has his own difficulties to reconcile when it comes to his betrothed and the human captain he loves.

In a reboot Amok Time, post-Nero, T'Pring chooses Kirk as her champion because she knows Spock doesn't want her, Kirk doesn't want her. She doesn't pick Stonn to fight because she knows he'd keep her if he won, and she doesn't want to be bonded to another male she doesn't love. She wants to be bonded with Uhura. Though she'd rather have done it another way, there was no way to divorce herself from Spock without the kalifee.

I'd like T'Pring not to be a evil biyotch, just a woman in love who doesn't want to be married off for the sake of perpetuating the Vulcan species.

Requests:

As before mentioned, I'd love for this to be Abramsverse.

I'd like equal attention given to the romance between Kirk and Spock and that of Uhura and T'Pring.

Have Spock and T'Pring be on reasonably amicable terms - not friends, but polite acquaintances. She doesn't hate him or think him beneath her because he's half-Vulcan.

Summary:

Abramsverse. Kirk has a fear of commiting to a monogamous, long-term relationship. Why, exactly, I leave up to you, dear author. He loves Spock, but the idea of commitment freaks him out, so he acts out by hopping in the sack with the two cat women. Events of STID unfold, and while in recovery Kirk deals with his issues of commitment and really understands that Spock is his universal constant. By the time the Enterprise is ready to be recommissioned, he and Spock are bonded and looking forward to the adventures awaiting them.

Summary:

First times, second times, even third times aren't always so great. Kirk and Spock deal with awkward, uncomfortable, and/or simply unspectacular sexytimes. They resolve to improve through practice. Lots and LOTS of practice. (And we all know that when Kirk and Spock set out to do something well, they really do it well.)

PWP, humor, either universe.

Summary:

Kirk and Spock decide to take their relationship a step forward and share quarters, but the transition isn't as seamless as they might have hoped.

TOS or Abramsverse, doesn't matter. You decide what issues they have with sharing space (I think room temperature would be one of their problems). I'm 29 and single, so I have no idea what sort of problems come from two people sharing living space full-time. Educate me, please, with this fic. :)

I want to know: what does Spock see in his mindmeld with the dying Admiral Pike?

Extra points if Pike is worried about Kirk and wants Spock to look after him.

Summary:

On the cover of Star Trek: Boldly Go #4 (published by IDW Comics), it has Spock assimilated as a Borg. I want a nu!Trek story where Spock and Kirk are bonded, but Spock is taken by the Borg (maybe with an away team on a mission). I want to see what happens to the boys, to their bond, and the rescue and road to recovery. So much h/c and angst potential!
