Beautiful. Old Married Spirk is my weakness, and you write them so well. I read this while listening to an intrumental version of Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran and the effect was surprisingly good -I have to admit... I cried! Beautiful writing, I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reviewing!  I just read your work and I was very impressed, and to have you comment on my lowly fic makes my day.  Old Married Spirk is what I cut my teeth on, though my four-story arc on FanFiction is involving nu!Spirk I will always ship the daylights out of the originals.  Music and writing, that's what makes my world go 'round.  Thanks again!

A Month Named Eternity by plaidshirtjimkirk Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 16]
Summary:

Spock's been gone for a month on an ambassadorial mission. Neither he nor Jim has an easy time with the separation. To commemorate his return, Jim does some special things for him. Spock later returns the favor.

An old married Spirk fic with ludicrous amounts of fluff and then smut!

When you read Hemingway, you instantly know it's Hemingway. Same thing with your writing. There's a special something that makes it yours. (don’t ever worry about the descriptions, they are beyond perfect and they make everything intense to the point where I cried two or three times reading this fic)

Now if I were an editor, I would beg you to let me publish your fanfics and we would sit back and watch as your books became best sellers and as the world discovered Kirk and Spock's gay love.

Some people have a thing called talent. I believe you’re one of those people. Characterization: flawless. Writing: amazing, like always. But what killed me (and I swear I cried I mean real tears at least three times) is the DEPTH in every freakin’ scene, there’s like, all these FEELINGS everywhere and… I just… It’s fair to say this is one of the best fanfics I’ve ever read, Spirk or not. I printed it, am planning on reading it again tonight, and I’ll probably still have it in forty years and read it to my grandchildren (except the sex scene, of course… awkward) AND DON’T GET ME STARTD ON THAT SEX SCENE. YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY (just note that it was all I could think about this morning at school)

THANK YOU you beautiful person for sharing your beautiful writing!

Author's Response:

I cannot even thank you enough for how encouraging you've been, and now for even taking the time to write a review!! What can I even say to show my gratitude? You were so incredibly supportive during my writing of this and then beta read for me!

I'm so pleased you like my writing style. That's the nicest thing anyone has ever said, seriously. Someone once told me that I paint with words and I suppose I can agree... I go off on these tangents of descriptive language all the time so it takes me a little longer to get my work out the door. In the end though, I don't mind spending the extra time since I enjoy writing so much. :D

Thank you so much again for all of your help and support!! <333

oh and Jim sleeping with Spock's old uniform shirt? the use of the word "sweetheart"!? MY POOR HEART DIED

Author's Response:

So glad you liked that!!! ^___^ I wasn't sure how to make Jim call him sweetheart because I don't see him as a cutsie pet name kind of guy. Hehe...

Summary:

Spock begins to wonder if his relationship with Jim has been one-sided in his own favor.

An old married Spirk fic written for the K/S Valentine Calendar. This story actually started and evolved from this anonymous writing prompt on tumblr: "Old Married Spirk where Jim teaches classes at Starfleet and Spock is an ambassador. Spock goes to visit Jim in his office and finds a student with a bit of a teacher kink being a bit too forward with Jim. Spock finds a streak of possessiveness he didn't know he had."

To me, this is canon. It happened, and no one can convince me otherwise.

The characterization is so utterly perfect that I wonder if you ever lived inside their heads. Spock's special way of seeing things, not only as a Vulcan, or half-human, but also as Jim's husband, and the quiet war going on inside him, still tearing him apart after all those years... it's heartbreaking, but it's SPOCK, and you managed to capture that part of him better than anyone. He's my favorite character and I've looked everywhere for a fanfic that would truly grasp who Spock is, I think I finally found it. I don't know if you intended it to be a "character study" type of fanfic but to me it totally is.

The descriptions were brilliant. All the little details make the scenes vivid, real (I LOVE all the futuristic stuff, this might be fluff but we're still knee deep in sci-fi and I LOVE YOU FOR THAT)
The part with the young cadet is incredibly realistic, but really, it's amazing! I can tell from personal experience
And that last part... oh god. I cried my eyes out. I could write pages and pages about all the FEELS I have. That last scene made me sob. I have no words.

Never stop writing. NEVER.

Author's Response:

OKAY SO. Honestly speaking. You're a big reason as to why I write. Your constant support is just... I can't put into words just how much I appreciate you!!

I'm so so so happy you liked the characterization and I'm beyond flattered that you thought I captured Spock! It takes me a pretty long time to finish writing a story because of all the description and obsessing over keeping everyone in character as much as possible. Admittedly, sometimes I get frustrated. I'll spend ridiculous amounts of time writing and rewriting and realize, "...Oh. That was only three paragraphs." Haha! And that's when I take to tumblr and start talking about my obsessive compulsiveness. =P But, in the end, I'm always glad I powered through it and contributed to this amazing fanbase we have. <3

I'm sorry for making you cry too. >_< *Hugs*

Thank you a million times over for reading, reviewing, and always being such an amazing source of support for me! <3333

Of Plaid Shirts and Whiskey by plaidshirtjimkirk Rated: Mature Content (Teen) starstarstarstarhalf-star [Reviews - 7]
Summary:

Jim is inebriated and wearing a plaid shirt. Spock needs to do something about both of those problems. In his attempts, he's presented with an interesting opportunity but, unfortunately, Jim would never feel the same way... Would he?

This story takes place during The City on the Edge of Forever and is total, unapologetic fluff.

I was having a bad day, I decided to see if there was anything good on tumblr before going back to school, and it only took 5 minutes to turn a bad day into a good one.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO THANK YOU FOR THIS. I made a funny noise when I saw it and now let me tell you about my feels:

First of all, do you read minds? Because this follows my personal headcanon like very few fanfics ever did before! I always thought they declared their love at the end of TMP and that they stumbled through the 5 year mission hopelessly in love with each other.
Second, MIGHTY GODS IN SHA KA REE YOUR WRITING IS FLAWLESS. I think I'll never get over how detailed the descriptions are. I can actually SEE the scenes (and believe me seeing Jim in that plaid shirt, in Spock's arms... mmmm)

And t'hyla... Spock holding Jim's shirt... The tenderness of Spock's every move when he undresses Jim... the feeling of belonging, and love, and comfort... because he only feels at home when he's with Jim *wipes a tear*

I CAN NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

Author's Response:

*Falls over* I don't even know what to say! I'm very happy you like it! It's much shorter than the usual length I write and really has no plot so I was honestly worried about posting it. But now I'm glad I did since it made you smile. ^O^ My favorite scene to write was when Jim's forehead fell against Spock's because it gave me feels of epic proportions. HEHE

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! <3
