I am such a sucker for high school AU, and this is hitting all the right notes. Spock is totally weird and Spock-like, and Jim is pretty much a spazz -- which is exactly as it should be. This is a really sweet, fun story.

Oh this is lovely! I particularly enjoyed Spock's reticence. I think a lot of pressure is put on tops to embody that role entirely, and acknowledging the uneasiness that can accompany it is really difficult.

Author's Response:

Thanks for your remarks.  My greatest concern was to faithfully show the complexity of emotions from the top's side, especially from the perspective of a novice top.

This was so cute, and so in-character. Also kind of hot, even though there was no sex.

The mention of tiny baby Spock does things to me. I want a tiny baby Vulcan. I do not want a human baby ever ever, but a tiny baby Vulcan? With tiny baby Vulcan ears and tiny baby Vulcan eyebrows? I'm beside myself just thinking about it. So the image of tiny baby Spock learning French and Latin makes me happy beyond belief.

You hit the contrast in this story so well. The two sections have very distinct tones that completely match up with the surrounding situations.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much!

This was beautiful. Intensely, incredibly beautiful. So understated and yet poetic.
