How strange: I could swear I had read this story before!
"My Michael" left no doubt in me
But I always leave a review in return ... How strange
I'm such a fool
I feel the need to apologize ... I'm very sorry

It was all so painful to read it
So much time wasted
What could have happened and not happened
I'm sorry .. so sorry for them

I finished reading with dripping eyes and a sad smile but broad

Author's Response:

ahhh... thankee sai!  sorry to bum thee out *hands a tissue* but glad it worked for ye, aye.  as for not reviewing the first time, hey, I'z done it meself, sometimes we forget -- no offense is ever given!  and thanx for da sugar!!  :)

It makes no sense to me: I know I read it somewhere before.
I'm not selfish and greedy type to take something and not give anything back.
I see no reason why I read this story and I wrote a comment (You would not delete a comment if I would write, right?)
The writing is puzzling as the story itself, intriguing, sensual and full of colors, logic and passion.
I enjoyed very much reading it ... again (smiles)

Author's Response:

nah, never have needed or wanted to delete a comment.  always figured in the old bbs days, more fun to laugh at flame-wielders than delete them, nu?  I think I have all of one negative comment here IIRC, so 's'all good!

glad ye enjoyed it lass!

Shelter by Leslie Fish Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarhalf-star [Reviews - 20]
Summary:

Spock suffers a head injury in a shuttlecraft accident and reveals more than Kirk or McCoy expected. Originally published in the print fanzine “Warped Space” XX, October 1976. "Shelter" was the third K/S story ever published. I wrote it specifically to support the K/S faction in Trek fandom, which was coming under fire at the time.

How sad to experience first love in this way. I can see what will happen when Spock arises: will not remember a thing or deny, but will return to old ways ... how painful it would be Jim, and perhaps also for himself.

How noble by McCoy

Ah, patience.  Go on to the sequel, "Poses", which follows what happens when they wake up in the morning.  Enjoy!

Poses by Leslie Fish Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 12]
Summary:

The sequel to "Shelter." Kirk, Spock, and McCoy return to the Enterprise and try to maintain the poses of normal life. This story was originally published in Obsc'zine #1, copyright 1977 by T'Kuhtian Press, Lori C-C, editor. "Poses" was the sequel to "Shelter", written primarily because so many fans wrote to me after "Shelter" was published, frantically asking: "What happened after they woke up?" I realized that I couldn't leave Our Heroes hanging in that situation, so I worked out what happened— apparently to everybody's satisfaction.

(do remember the song of Dr. Alban? So I brought all of his choir sing for you)

"Sing Hallelujah, sing it
Sing Hallelujah sing it"
(yeah)
"Sing Hallelujah sing Hallelujah sing it
Sing Hallelujah sing it"
(yeah)
"Sing Hallelujah, sing Hallelujah! "

You have a very fascinating mind, I wonder what else he holds at its core.
It was painfully exciting, thought-provoking, full of insights I kept asking myself and with others. I have no doubt you've written yourself in the person of the doctor in this story. (Who would not want to participate?) they were lucky you were there to save themselves from themselves.
Of course, sexy as hell, but there is also sadness and disappointment for me, that this story will never turn to a movie, so you never get to see the love scenes, especially the fascinates "Orchid" you described there but I could not imagine him in front of my eyes...

(a soft Sigh) Not blessed with enough imagination ... or a good enough of understanding English

Author's Response:

Awww, thank you.  Actually, the difficulty in writing a story like this is changing point of view so as to see through the eyes of each character in turn.  As for my vision of Spock's, er, equipment, I wanted to make him convincingly alien, yet with the capacity to have sex with a human;  after all, his father managed with Amanda.  Other fans have drawn illustrations of what that equipment would look like, but I have no idea where you'd find them on the Internet.  Good hunting!

(narrowed eyes, tears at the eyelids, take a deep breath, hand on heart)
It was so beautiful I do not know where to begin to describe:
No doubt it was Spock different to those I've read so far. What happened inside the mind of Jim, when he spoke of their love and that he will always be with him and even the storm did not stop their kiss - I believe it was the the most moving and my favorite. Of course, the love scenes is another branch and a VIP level
A wonderful combination of emotional and erotic - the first time they "teary" during the act - i love it so.
Justice exchanges between them scratched my heart
Thank you for the stormy and a golden story

Mistletoe Challenge by Amanda Warrington Rated: ADULT (NC-17) starstarstarstarhalf-star [Reviews - 25]
Summary:

N.B. Despite the name, this is not a 'challenge' or humorous story.

In his final year, Spock briefly meets Kirk at the Academy Winter Ball. One day, many years later, the man who made a lasting impression on Spock assumes command of the Enterprise. Shamelessly romantic, this was written for the 2008 K/S Advent Calendar.

This story deserves the prize he won. With great integrity and creativity has earned this honor.
I would like to begin to elaborate a few excited moments of Jim and Spock - but I lose all words.
I played "Annie's Song" again and again throughout the story: these words dripped in to my mind when they became more intimate - it was all so beautiful moving to tears
I enter myself into the story. I believed in them.
And it hurt... all the lost time ... ... it hurts like hell.

I was moved by how human was "your Spock" and how sensitive your "Jim " than others I've read antil today
The words they shared were like a burn on my heart. The language was gentle and soft, especially in the intimate moments.
But when Jim said what position he wanted, at the back of my head lit up a giant neon sign of "My Oh (F) God" that can decorate in Las Vegas, and I giggled.

I felt "them"everywhere: my mind, my heart, my breath, and some more modest I am ashamed to write.
When I got to the end - I smiled. And a sense of reconciliation, wholeness and that everything good in the world filled me.
With these feelings I thank you from the depths of my heart for the experience you gave me, and go to sleep hoping to sweet dreams.

Author's Response:

Annie's Song is so beautiful and evocative - I can't listen to it and not think of Kirk and Spock.  They are everything to each other.

Because the story is narrated by Spock's, we see how everything affects him and though he may control any outward manifestation of it, it doesn't mean he doesn't feel, so he seems more human because of it.  And Jim never forgot that time with Spock and knew he was something very special

Thank you for this beautiful review - you wrote it while I was away for four weeks and when I returned I forgot to give you a reply.  I'm so happy that this story moved you so much and that you felt such an emotional connection to Kirk and Spock through it and experienced their emotions - their angst and their happiness - with them.  This is one of the loveliest reviews I've ever received.  Thank you for taking time to write it - I really appreciate it.  :)
