As a kid I always found TOS too cheesy and prefered the updated style of TNG. I briefly began to ship Spirk a couple years ago with the arrival of the Reboot franchise, but it didn't really take off until a very short time ago when I began to systematically work through the series for the first time. I had never understood the passionate following of a relationship I could just not see, but a couple episodes in I began to see the hype and eventually, thanks in large part to Edith Keeler, I finally saw the light.

TLDR I didn't get it but now I do and holy hell...
